RAY039-1024768
A 0.39" XGA (1024x768) full-color OLED microdisplay built for near-eye and head-mounted systems.
The panel fits 1024x768 into an 8.13 x 6.18 mm active area with a 7.8 x 7.8 um pixel in an RGB vertical-stripe arrangement, giving roughly 3,280 PPI (1040 x 784 pixels are physically present, 1024 x 768 addressable). It offers 256 grey levels, a contrast ratio above 10,000:1, brightness uniformity over 90% and a 25-120 Hz refresh rate, and it accepts 24-bit RGB, 24/16-bit YCbCr or 8-bit monochrome video alongside an I2C control channel.
The silicon backplane is made on a 0.18 um CMOS process and integrates a temperature sensor, DDP dimming, adaptive brightness, brightness and contrast compensation, horizontal and vertical mirroring and display-position adjustment for lower-resolution sources. It runs from -40 to +65 degC and weighs 1 g in a 16.6 x 14.2 x 3.57 mm module that terminates in a 45-pin 0.6 mm board-to-board connector.
Besides this full-color version at 200 cd/m2 typical, the series comes in monochrome white (500 cd/m2), monochrome green (10,000 cd/m2) and monochrome red (10,000 cd/m2). Typical power consumption is 60 mW for the color panel and 55-110 mW for the monochrome ones. Working life is quoted as 20,000 hours at typical brightness, without stating the luminance-decay point it is measured to.
